In 2014 I joined a cricket team from North Wales on an unusual tour, to the Former Yugoslavia. Two years later, some of my photographs from our game at the Surnikovo cricket ground in the Slovenian Alps, against Mežica CC, have been included in Brian Levison’s new book ‘Remarkable Cricket Grounds‘.
I am very grateful to Brian Levison and Pavilion Books for taking an interest in my photos, and to Mežica CC for the chance to play at their wonderful ground.
I have written about two of the other matches on the tour: the first game in the history of Montenegro for All Out Cricket, and an eventful match in Croatia for Mailer Report. I also wrote about cricket in Uzbekistan for the 2014 Wisden Almanack.
